Sunny, dry for now; Rain chances return late this week, weekend
We got another taste of cooler fall air early Tuesday morning. Temperatures fell into the low to mid 50s around sunrise. The morning low was 48° in Alexander City. Dry air remains in place across Alabama Tuesday, and because it heats up more effectively than more humid air, high temperatures range from the upper 80s to low 90s. Meanwhile, the sky remains mainly sunny with no chance for rain. Tuesday night looks mainly clear with lows in the upper 50s to low 60s.
