Charges Dropped Against Alabama’s Cyrus Jones

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) – Tuscaloosa police have dropped domestic violence charges against Alabama cornerback Cyrus Jones. The police say in a statement that probable cause existed for the charges filed against Jones, but they were dropped because he tried to deescalate by calling police.
Jones was charged Tuesday night after allegedly threatening a 22-year-old woman in front of a witness and damaged her phone.
