Flu-Like Cases Increasing Across State

Temperatures are dropping and that means tis’ the season for the flu. Health officials say its not too late to get a flu shot and that it’s the best way to protect yourself.Â

Statewide the number of positive flu cases is below what they normally see around this time of year.

And according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Alabama’s one of two states with flu activity classified as “regional”—that’s one stage lower than the highest-“widespread”.

“people will say ‘it hit me like a mac truck’ and so they feel really bad, very achy, body aches I mean like your hair hurts, the hair on your arms. It’s just very very achy and fever.” Â

Other symptoms include a sore throat, cough, even diarrehea and nausea.
