Christmas in July Benefit takes Place in the Capital City
Today is July 25th, which means its five months until Christmas, and the Montgomery County G-O-P held their Christmas in July event to help benefit homeless children and their families.
Members of the party, police officers, and other volunteers raised five thousand dollars to buy gifts, toys, and clothing for sixteen homeless mothers and their children.
Officials say they want to see the giveaway event become an annual event, and to see it grow throughout the capital city.
This is the second year for the event.
