Two More Arrests Made in Fatal Drive-By Shooting in Selma

Selma police say they’ve arrested two more people in a drive-by shooting that left one man dead and two others injured.

Police say 39-year-old Kevin Johnson and 34-year-old Reginald Brown have been charged with capital murder and two counts of attempted murder. Police say a third suspect, 26-year-old Marcus Brown of Selma, turned himself in to police last week and faces the same charges.

Police say around 9:30 Wednesday night, they were called to the 2600 block of Tipton Street. That’s where officers say they found three men with gunshot wounds inside a pickup truck.

Police say a 26-year-old man in the truck died of his injuries, while a 34-year-old was taken to a Montgomery hospital for treatment and a 33-year-old was treated and released.

Police say one of the men told them a tan or cream-colored Chevrolot Tahoe was at the intersection of Roosevelt Avenue and Highway 80 East, stopped at the traffic light when they approached the intersection to turn, the man says the people in the Tahoe started shooting at them.

Police say the motive is unknown.
