Dry And Cooler Air Heading Our Way

A cloudy and stormy start to the weekend but improving weather conditions will return Saturday. The rain will depart early and some breaks in the clouds will be possible during the day. Northwest winds will be kicking in and that will allow colder air to spill into the state. We have a cold snap on the way but it won’t last very long.

In the meantime, the rain moves out early Saturday morning and the rest of the day will turn out to be rather quiet. Northwesterly winds will begin bringing in cooler and drier air to the area. We get a mostly cloudy sky with temps hovering in the upper 60s to lower 70s Saturday afternoon. We’re expecting decreasing clouds with clearing later and temps falling into the mid 40s overnight.

Sunday will look a lot better with a mainly sunny sky and temps in the mid 60s for afternoon highs. The much cooler air will continue to spill into the state and we’re down into the upper 30s for lows Monday morning. It’s a chilly start but temps will rebound into the mid to upper 60s Monday afternoon. A warming trend will get underway Tuesday and last through the week. Looks like mid to upper 70s will be coming back for highs and overnight lows in the 50s and 60s. We stay dry most of the week but some rain will return heading into that following weekend.
