Shelter dog becomes newest therapy dog at Jackson Hospital

From having no name to everyone knowing who she is at Jackson Hospital, Rotton Weiler has a true underdog story.

Rotton Weiler is a 7-year-old rottweiler mix dog who had a rough start at life. She was born in a dump in Orrville with 7 other siblings. She had severe health problems as a puppy and was deemed unadoptable. However, that didn’t stop Jennifer Tolbert. She adopted Rotton and once she healed and turned a year old, she decided to train her to be a therapy dog.

Now, Rotton is the newest employee at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery. Every Wednesday, Rotton and Jennifer go from room to room to check on patients and provides some puppy therapy for the ones who need it. Rotton’s calm demeaner and attentiveness are what draw people to her and has made her quiet popular at the hospital.

Once a dumpster dog now a beloved therapy dog, Rotton Weiler couldn’t be any happier.
