Student arrested after fight on Autauga County school bus

A student has been arrested after a fight on an Autauga County school bus that left another student injured.

Autauga County Sheriff Mark Harrell said that his office was told about the fight Friday night by the Autauga County Board of Education and the Prattville Baptist Hospital emergency room.

Harrell says there were two aggressors in the fight, 18-year-old Antarion Brandon Miles and a 14-year-old girl. He says the fight injured another 14-year-old girl.

Harrell says Miles was arrested today and charged with assault in the third degree. He says there may be more charges involving other students.

He says the fight was recorded by other students on the bus and the school bus surveillance system.

Harrell says the victim did not provoke the fight, which he described as brutal.
