Two arrested in Troy shooting
Troy police say two people are now in custody related to a shooting incident in September.
Police Chief Danny Barron says the shooting happened during the early morning hours on September 22 in the 1000 block of Park Street.
Officers received a call regarding a large gathering on the street. When officers arrived to disperse the crowd, several shots were fired, causing damage to both a vehicle and a home. No one was injured in the shooting.
Police have arrested 20-year-old Erik Dame’Ir McClain, of Andalusia, and 23-year-old Karee Mykell Dorsey, of Opp. Both are charged with Shooting into an Occupied/Unoccupied Dwelling or Vehicle. The bond is set at $150,000.
McClain was taken into custody on Tuesday. Dorsey is currently held at the Covington County Jail on an unrelated charge. Upon his release, he will be extradited to Troy to face charges.
