Colder nights and mornings are coming as the sky clears out
Persistent cloudiness prevented Montgomery’s temperature from falling below 30 degrees Monday night and Tuesday morning. There should be enough sunshine to reach the middle 40s this afternoon. Under a mostly clear sky, we expect to plunge deep into the 20s for morning lows on Wednesday and Thursday.
Moisture will return late Thursday night, and we could have a brief period of sleet or freezing rain during the early morning hours of Friday. Widespread rain is expected during the day Friday as temperatures climb to 40 degrees or warmer.
