A wintry mixture is expected in some areas late tonight and early tomorrow
Dry weather will continue today in Central and South Alabama, with sunshine helping temperatures climb into the upper 40s for many locations.
Moisture will start to move in after midnight tonight, as we drop to near or slightly below freezing. That could result in a brief period of wintry precipitation as far south as Montgomery, with little or no accumulation expected.
North of the Capital City, somewhat colder air will create a greater chance for at least a dusting of sleet and snow. Travel could become hazardous early Friday morning, especially on bridges and overpasses.
Before noon tomorrow, and continuing Friday afternoon, a cold rain is expected areawide as temperatures rise into the lower 40s.
