Frigid cold air has moved in, and now we wait for the moisture to arrive

Despite a good supply of sunshine, temperatures will be stuck in the 30s for this MLK holiday, with stiff breezes making it feel even colder.  Many locations could drop into the upper teens late Monday night as dry weather continues.

Snow will become likely during the day tomorrow, especially from Montgomery and Selma to the south.  Snowfall accumulations could total two inches or more in portions of South Alabama.  For the Capital City, our best estimate as of now seems to be somewhere between a dusting and one inch of snow.

Wednesday morning will be our coldest of the winter so far, with actual temperatures expected to plunge into the middle teens.
