He named it “Ida Mae Hollaway Day.”
Gov. Kay Ivey also issued a certificate of recognition.
Even though the party was yesterday, Hollaway’s 100th birthday is actually today, to mark the day she was born — April 27, 1925.
She’s lived long enough to meet her great-great grandson, Kingsley.
Together, they represent five generations of the family.
Family members and friends describe her as a strong Christian woman who’s taught them important life lessons over the years.
All of us at Action 8 News say happy birthday and best wishes in the years ahead!
