Greenville making changes before city elections in August

The City of Greenville is making a big change to its polling locations ahead of the city elections in August.

Officials say that in an effort to make voting easier, its five polling locations have consolidated to one. The decision was made unanimously by the city council.

With a fire that destroyed the Butler County Health Department and the demolition of the Baptist Hill Kindergarten building, two of the five usual voting locations were destroyed, which left some voters confused about where to go.

All voters will now go to the Wendell Mitchell Conference Center on the campus of the Lurleen B. Wallace Community College.
