Man charged with attempted murder in Prattville

Prattville police have arrested a man on an attempted murder charge.

Prattville Police Chief Mark Thompson told Action 8 News that officers got a report of shots fired just before 4PM yesterday near 1449 U.S. Highway 82.

Thompson said Daniel White told officers that Richard Robinson shot at him several times, with one round hitting him in the back of the head area. Thompson said the wound wasn’t serious.

Thompson said the shooting involved some items that Robinson allegedly stole from White. He said when White confronted Robinson, that Robinson got a .22 caliber rifle and started shooting at White.

Robinson is being held on a $60,000 bond.
