Several More Rounds Of Rain And Storms Ahead
A very active weather pattern will continue across our area through the week. Several rounds of showers and t-storms will pass through here. Some storms could be strong to possibly severe. The main threats will be damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph, quarter size hail, along with heavy downpours and frequent lightning strikes.
The showers and storms we have moving through the state now and into late evening could be strong to severe. Damaging wind gusts and large hail are possible. We expect the storms to move into Georgia by midnight. The overnight period will remain mostly cloudy with a shower still possible. Temps will fall into the upper 60s for lows.
There will be another round of showers and t-storms Tuesday. Any storms that do develop will be capable of damaging winds and hail. If you’re not experiencing a storm, you can expect a partly sunny sky with temps in the mid to upper 80s during the afternoon hours.
Our active weather pattern of showers and t-storms will continue through Friday. There’s indications are weather will be trending drier for the upcoming weekend. High pressure will build over the region and any rain activity will be few and far between. Temps will manage the mid to upper 80s for highs.
