Five Montgomery teens have been arrested in Auburn on multiple charges, including theft.
Auburn police say the five arrested come after they received theft reports on May 28 from two businesses in the 700 block of East Glenn Avenue and in the 300 block of South College Street.
Police located the suspects’ vehicle traveling near the 300 block of North Donahue Drive.
When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver fled the area causing multiple collisions and damaging police vehicles.
The vehicle pursuit ended near mile market 31 on I-85, and all five occupants were detained. Auburn police say they confirmed that those suspects were involved in the business thefts.
Police have arrested 19-year-old Brooklyn Denson, 19-year-old Char’Myia Mitchell, 18-year-old Tyrese Smith, a 17-year-old juvenile and a 16-year-old juvenile.
Each was charged with retail theft first degree. Mitchell was also charged with obstructing justice using a false identity. Denson was additionally charged with obstructing justice using a false identity and felony attempting to elude a law enforcement officer.
Denson, Mitchell and Smith were transported to the Lee County Jail. The juveniles were released to authorized adults at the request of the Lee County Juvenile Intake Office.
