Veterans Job Fair
Still Serving Veterans is hosting a free hiring event for veterans, transitioning service members and their families at the Bottling Plant Event Center in Opelika, AL, on Thursday, 1 October. In addition to specific employers and their associated jobs, military service members are being offered a series of seminars focused on the unique, transition challenges posed by moving into civilian careers. Morning sessions include resume development and critiques, transitions and career seeking strategies, and interviewing to help position the candidate for the best possible outcomes during the afternoon job fair. The morning sessions (9:30-11:30 am CDT) will include mental readiness, networking and presentation, resume writing (with on-site critiques), interviewing, career planning and job searching, translating military skills into civilian roles, and more. The Job Fair will be 1:30-3:30 pm CDT
