Action 8 News has learned that the suspect in a kidnapping case in Pike Road has also been charged in two prior cases that all involve the same victim.

As Action 8 News has reported, 20-year-old Donald Jackson, Jr., of Clanton has been charged with kidnapping and domestic violence. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says on Sunday, September 7, they were called to Barnes Road and Meriwether Road where they discovered a female victim had been assaulted and kidnapped.

The Sheriff’s Office says it found Jackson as he was heading into Chilton County and took him into custody. The victim was rescued.

Action 8 News has found through court records two prior cases against Jackson.

In May 2024, records show the same victim filed a petition for protection from abuse in Chilton County Circuit Court. Court records say the victim and Jackson had a previous dating relationship.

The petition came after records show on April 24, 2024, while sitting in her car at work in Prattville, the victim was approached by Jackson. Jackson began banging on the car window and told the victim that he would break the window if she did not roll it down. Jackson was then able to force the window down by using his body weight. The victim escaped the car and ran inside a nearby business.

Court records show Jackson stole the victim’s wallet. Then Jackson began texting the victim and told her he had her property, but she had to go to a relative’s house to get it from him. The victim was escorted by Prattville police officers to get her belongings back. When they arrived, Jackson was already there and police took him into custody. He was charged with breaking and entering a vehicle and theft of property in the third degree.

Then, on September 26, 2024, in Verbena, court records show Jackson knowingly obtained or exerted unauthorized control over property with the intent to deprive the owner of their car.  At the same time, records show Jackson abducted a female juvenile.

Jackson was charged with second-degree kidnapping and first-degree theft of property.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to Action 8 News that the victim is the same in these cases.
