Rain And Storms Ahead
Our spring-like weather pattern will stick around for a few more days. You will continue to feel the warmth with temps climbing into the upper 70s to lower 80s through Saturday. Moisture will be working into the area and we’re expecting our next chance for rain and storms Friday and more over the upcoming weekend. Once the rain activity is gone, we’re facing some much colder air early next week!
For now, we expect a clear sky and cool overnight. Our sky will become partly cloudy and scattered showers and a few t-storms will be possible Friday afternoon. A few storms could be on the strong side with damaging wind gust the main threat. Temps will climb into the upper 70s for highs. Some showers and t-storms may linger into the evening hours.
It looks like we’re in between rain makers most of Saturday. A mainly sunny sky and a southwesterly wind flow will warm temps into the lower 80s for highs.  Another wave of rain and t-storms will move through the area late Saturday night into early Sunday. Some of these storms could be strong and possibly severe. The main threat will be damaging wind gust up to 60 mph. It looks like we’re on the backside of any rain activity late Sunday afternoon.
We head into next week facing some of the coldest air so far this fall. All indications are a rather cold air mass invades the deep south Sunday night into Monday.  Temps will start out in the mid to upper 30s Monday morning and they will only climb into the lower 50s Monday afternoon. The really cold air will settle over us Monday night into Tuesday morning. We’re expecting temps to plunge into the mid to upper 20s for lows. There will be widespread frost with this surge of cold air. There will be lots of sunshine around but temps will still only manage the 50s Tuesday afternoon. Temps are down into the lower 30s Wednesday morning and they do recover nicely into the mid to upper 60s by the afternoon.
The cold snap will end Wednesday and the rest of the work week be trending much warmer. Abundant sunshine will help temps climb into the lower 70s by Thursday afternoon. Overnight temps will be rising and we’re dropping into the mid 40s to finish out the week.
