Girl injured in Montgomery shooting

Montgomery police are investigating a shooting that left a girl injured.

Montgomery police Lt. Tina McGriff told Action 8 News that officers were called to the 900 block of Johnson Street last night. That location is between Lower Wetumpka Road and Fairground Road in the Chisholm community.

McGriff says they found the girl, whose injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. She was taken to a hospital for treatment. Her age wasn’t released.

McGriff says there is no other information available for release at this time.
