Orrville woman dies in crash on Christmas Day
A single-vehicle crash in Dallas County on Christmas Day has claimed the life of an Orrville woman.
It happened around 6:30 a.m. Thursday on Alabama 6 near the 45 mile marker, approximately eight miles north of Safford.
Troopers say 65-year-old Brenda Leshore was fatally injured when the car she was driving left the roadway, hit several trees and overturned.
Leshore, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time, was ejected from the car and pronounced dead on the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
