The Montgomery Art Guild hosts their Members’ Show Sunday

The Montgomery Art Guild hosted their Annual Members’ Show in Montgomery Sunday.

Dozens came to the Ware-Farley-Hood House to see many different pieces crafted by talented artists. The reception was free and open to the public, so anyone could come and see all the different pieces of art.

The reception featured 70 different pieces such as sculptures, paintings, drawings, and much more. Guests were able to grab food and refreshments and listen to live music as they walked around to see all the different pieces.

Everyone who attended was able to vote for their 3 favorite pieces, and the top 3 that received the most votes each got $100.

“Art is a way for everyone to have a voice. Everyone’s artwork is like their very own fingerprint. Nobody has art like yours, so it makes every piece that you create something special. It’s like a language, it doesn’t matter what language you speak, art is a language that everyone understands. You could look at a piece of art, and everyone can get a feeling or an emotion from that piece. We may all be different, we may come from different backgrounds, and speak different languages, but we can all understand and communicate through art,” said President of the Montgomery Art Guild, Jennifer Talley.

All the art pieces that were on display were available for purchase.
