Cool Snap Sticking Around For A Few Days
A quiet and stable weather pattern is settling in across the Deep South this week. Temperatures will stay on the cool side through midweek, and with little to no rain in the forecast, drought conditions will continue.
Clouds will linger through the evening, but we’ll see gradual clearing overnight. An east to northeasterly wind will keep a cooler air mass locked in place. Overnight lows will drop into the mid to upper 40s.
Expect a chilly start tomorrow morning, followed by a mild afternoon with highs reaching the mid to upper 70s. Very little changes heading into Wednesday and Thursday afternoon highs remain in the 70s, with morning lows in the 40s.
By the end of the week and into the weekend, a warming trend takes over. Temps climb into the 80s for highs, with overnight lows in the 50s. High pressure will dominate, bringing plenty of sunshine and keeping rain chances near zero.
