Rain & Storms Returning Later This Week
Our weather is looking rather quiet through midweek but another frontal boundary will make a run at the state heading into Thursday. Rain and storms are likely and some storms could be strong to possibly severe. It is still the spring storm season and we will be monitoring this closely through the week.
In the meantime, you can expect a mainly clear sky with temps not quite as chilly as last night. Temps will bottom out in the upper 40s to lower 50s for lows.  We’re back into a mainly sunny sky with temps managing the lower 80s for highs Tuesday afternoon.
Most of Wednesday will be partly sunny and warm with temps climbing into the mid to upper 80s. There will be the chance for a shower or t-storm but most of the rain activity holds off until later Wednesday night.  That’s when we expect a line of showers and t-storms to enter the area. Strong to potential severe storms will advance south and eastward across the area. The main threats will be damaging wind gusts and a few tornadoes. The storms will eventually move into South Alabama Thursday afternoon.
We’re on the backside of the frontal boundary with high pressure building over the area Friday. There will be moisture lingering over the area and that could still fuel some rain activity Friday and over the weekend.  Temps will still manage to top out in the lower to mid 80s for highs.
