SEC Media Days: Can Texas A&M return to the College Football Playoffs?
TAMPA, Fla. (WAKA) – Action 8 Lace Up Sports is in Tampa, Florida, for SEC Media Days, where Texas A&M hopes to make a return trip to the College Football Playoffs in 2026.
The Aggies went 11-2 in 2025, which includes a loss to Miami in the first round of the playoffs. Quarterback Marcel Reed is back this year.
However, Action 8 Sports Analyst John Longshore notes that of the eight SEC teams that Texas A&M faced last year, only one had a winning record. He thinks this year, we’ll learn more about Reed and the entire roster and with all the money that’s been spent, whether they can finally make it to the SEC Championship Game and get further into the playoffs.
