Marion man killed in Perry County crash

 PERRY COUNTY, Ala. (WAKA Action 8)- A Marion man has died after a car crash in Perry County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

ALEA says the crash happened around 11:30 p.m. Thursday, July 16,on Perry County 23 near Perry County 20, about three miles west of Marion.

42-year-old Barry E. Moore was fatally injured when the 2010 Nissan Altima he was driving left the roadway, hit a tree, and caught fire.

Moore was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Moore was identified after his body was taken to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
