Pringle Convicted of 2013 Murder of His Cousin
District Attorney Daryl Bailey announces that 25 year old Nicktavus Pringle of Montgomery was convicted of Murder by a Montgomery County Jury this afternoon. The jury convicted Pringle for the murder of his cousin Demarcus Pringle.
Demarcus Pringle was Montgomery’s 40th homicide of 2013. Nictavus Pringle shot the victim multiple times including in the back of the head after an argument.
The murder occurred at the victim’s residence in the 4400 Block of Chatham Place in Montgomery on October 3, 2013.
District Attorney Bailey stated that “this is another example of two young lives lost because of senseless violence, one to death and another to prison.” Bailey added that “young people need to learn that there is a better way to resolve conflicts other than having to result to violence. This violence that we have seen in Montgomery must stop before another life is lost.” Bailey stated that “I want to thank our Violent Crime Prosecution Team and the Montgomery Police Department for their hard work in securing justice for the victim’s family in this case.”
Pringle will be sentenced on March 16, 2016 by Judge Greg Griffin. He will be facing 20 years to life in prison.
