Home School Students Learn About Transitioning into College at Troy University

Home school students from across Alabama and Florida got a taste of college life on Troy University’s campus Friday.
Students had the opportunity to connect with others, while learning how to transition to a college environment. A student panel of former home school students spoke to them about their experiences transitioning. Administrators also discussed with students what to look forward to on campus. Former home school student, Coale Jordan says the transition may be tough for some but it gets easier.
“Everyone’s different. For me, I personally learned a lot better a lot easier…It was more beneficial to me  school-wise to learn at my own pace,” says Coale Jordan.Â
Students also learned about Troy’s accelerate program, a program that allows students to earn college credit online while in high school.
