There’s a new chief in town for the City of Troy Fire Department.

Several family, friends, city officials, and colleagues attended the swearing-in ceremony of Michael Stephens. Stephens says he is very humbled and honored for the opportunity to serve as fire chief. He has been part of the Troy Fire Department for the past 15 years and was named chief last month. Prior to his appointment as fire chief, he served the department as a captain.

“I look forward to serving the citizens of Pike County and the citizens of Troy and I appreciate the mayor and the council’s blessings of my appointment,” says Stephens.
Stephens replaces former Troy Fire Chief Thomas Outlaw who has retired.
