Troy University’s Alpha Tau Omega Begin Walk Hard Trek for Wounded Warriors
Thirty Troy University students are spending spring break walking a six-day journey to benefit wounded warriors.
Alpha Tau Omega’s “Walk Hard for Heroes” raises money and brings awareness for those warriors. For several years, its been their philanthropy drive. Walkers left Troy University Friday morning on their way to their destination-Panama City Beach’s Pier Park. Along the way, participants will attend a program in Bonifay, Florida for wounded warriors.
“Being able to give back to our service men and women who sacrificed so much for us on a daily basis and giving up a small portion of spring break doesn’t even amount to what they give up for us,” says Colton Cureton of Alpha Tau Omega.
ATO’s Walk Hard 2016 has the most participants ever than in recent years.
