Business Leaders Discuss Troy’s Industry Growth

The city of Troy may be known as a college town but business leaders want their industries to benefit families.  In the the last year, the city has made efforts to provide more opportunities to people in the area starting with Publix which will had 140 new jobs.

“We understand the growth that’s here. We’re always looking for great opportunities to make investments into cities that are growing like Troy,” says Dwaine Stevens of Publix.
“CGI and Goldenboy all announced expansions this year. In addition to KW Plastics so everything in Troy is growing. Its vibrant,” says Mayor Jason Reeves.
Leaders say they see those expansions as positive signs for the future.
“The better the quality of life the more important it is getting people to relocate,” says Reeves.
City officials say leading the way with industry expansions and new businesses adds to Troy being a more family friendly community.
