In the wake of the Orlando shooting at a gay nightclub, where 49 innocent men and women were gunned down, fears of could this happen again still linger. Clubs even in our area are forced to look at their security measures.

Club 322 is a gay club in downtown Montgomery. Management says the lasting memory of this attack can’t be those of fear, but honoring and remembering the lives lost. They are planning a balloon release for Saturday to honor the victims.

Madison Faile, Executive Director Club 322 said, “It’s the least that we can do to let people know that we are all in this together and if you attack them, you are attacking us as well. Because people come here to feel safe and have fun and enjoy life.”‘

The balloon release will be held outside of Club 322 on Lawrence Street at 7:30. 49 balloons will be released to honor each of the Orlando Victims.
