It was “Heroes for Heroes” as community members called in to help support Brantwood Children’s Home Wednesday evening.

During Alabama News Network 6 o’clock news, Beasley Allen Law Firm presented a $5,000 check along with Alfa Insurance for $3,0000.

Brantwood Children’s Home has been in the Montgomery community for almost 100 years giving a safe environment to children, who have been neglected or determined “at risk” by no fault of their own.

The home currently houses 30 children from ages 10 to 21.
Exec. Director Gerald Jones says your donations will go to help serve their basic needs and beyond.

“Food, shelter, clothing of the kids. The basic care of the kids. Not only that, if you think about having some 30 teenage kids and the extra activities that comes with that, whether its recreation activities that make the kid whole. So those donations allow us to not only give the kids those needs, but also provide for the wants of the kids,” said Jones.
At end of the night ….a total of $14,000 was raised.

“Thank you to those who have donated. And we just encourage those who have not to, please, we ask you to help support our kids and be a hero,” said Jones.
