AG Joe Hubbard Settling a Lawsuit
Democratic Attorney General candidate Joe Hubbard is settling a lawsuit accusing him of defaming a security company. Hubbard represented National Security of Alabama when it filed a lawsuit last year, challenging the awarding of a legislative security contract to DSI Security Services. The suit alleged Speaker of the House Mike Hubbard had ties to DSI. DSI said no relationship existed and sued for defamation. The settlement does not involve financial payment, but includes a statement from Hubbard that DSI won the contract fairly.
