Warm Wednesday, but Turning Colder Tomorrow

A weak frontal boundary approaches tonight and will push through Alabama overnight. For much the day, clouds are going to be on the increase, and temperatures are going to climb into the lower and mid 70s as our winds shift out of the south. As the the front pushes through, a few showers are expected. No threat of severe weather, and actually no thunder, so just a few passing showers, rain amounts should be 1/4 inch or less. The main window for rain will come from about 8PM-1AM.

THURSDAY/FRIDAY: The front exits the state before sunrise Thursday. The rest of our Thursday will feature a partly sunny sky and highs in the upper 50s. Thursday night should see temperatures settle back down into the lower to mid 30s. Then for the final work day of the week, we are expecting mainly sunny conditions, with highs in the lower 50s.

THE ALABAMA WEEKEND: A calmer weekend of weather is ahead. We are going to see days that feature more sun than clouds and cool temperatures, while nights will be crisp and fair. Highs Saturday and Sunday will be in the 50s. Overnight lows are heading back below freezing, which will be the first time in over two weeks we are going to see our temperatures back below freezing.
