Wilcox Co. Man Charged with Murder of Sister’s Husband
From the West Alabama Newsroom–
A shooting in Pine Hill leaves one man dead and his brother-in-law behind bars, charged with his murder.
Police Chief Nikisha Gailes says 63 year old Jimmy Tennor shot and killed 69 year old Roosevelt Washington last week.
Gailes says the shooting happened after Washington stopped by to visit Tennor’s mother who had recently had a stroke.
She says Tennor became upset, pulled out a gun and told Washington to get out of his mother’s house.
“He just got angry and pulled a gun on him while he was sitting down in the living room area,” said Gailes.
“And as Mr. Washington was walking to the door to exit the house, one of the witnesses, which was Mr. Washington’s daughter, witnessed him shoot him in the back of the head,” she said.
Tennor is being held in the Wilcox County Jail on a one million dollar bond.
