Showers and storms arrive late Thursday evening. A few storms may be strong to severe, capable of damaging wind gusts and hail.
Wednesday night looks mainly clear and cool, with lows in the mid to upper 40s.
Rain and storms continue Sunday night, especially near and east of I-65. That may lead to not only ponding on roads, but also localized flash flooding. Otherwise, the sky remains cloudy overnight with lows in the upper 50s.
Storms move into west Alabama early Sunday morning. These storms gradually move east across the rest of our area during the day. Some storms may be strong to severe, capable of damaging wind gusts and a few tornadoes.
Severe storms remain possible Sunday. A slight (level 2/5) severe risk covers all of our area from 7AM onward. Damaging wind gusts look like the main hazard as a line or complex of storms works west to east across our area. However, a couple tornadoes appear possible too.
Friday begins mainly cloudy, but the morning deck of low clouds gradually erodes again. With sunshine later in the day, temperatures warm to near-record territory again.
Clouds increase again Wednesday night. Temperatures remain warm, with lows in the upper 60s. Clouds gradually mix out again Thursday. Temperatures surge to near 90°.
The rest of the week looks even warmer, with highs in the upper 80s to around 90° Wednesday through Saturday. Each day features a morning deck of low clouds, which gradually erode by the afternoon.
Tuesday morning looks cooler in the wake of the front. Lows range from the low to mid 50s. However, Tuesday looks warm with sunshine. Expect high temperatures near 80°.
