Rain and rumbles continue throughout Sunday. It looks like rain and storms taper off Sunday night. However, another round of storms arrives Monday morning. Some of these storms may be severe, capable of damaging winds and perhaps a few tornadoes.

While numerous severe thunderstorms were ongoing to our northwest Sunday evening, they likely weaken on approach to our area. Showers and storms may not arrive in our northwestern communities until after midnight.

Winds gradually subside Thursday night. Clouds clear, and that sets the stage for temperatures to fall into the low and mid 30s overnight. Frost looks likely early Friday morning. A frost advisory covers all of our area Thursday night.
Monday trends warmer, but temperatures remain below-average for mid-March, with highs in the mid to upper 60s. The sky remains sunny throughout the day. Monday night turns cool again, with lows near 40°.
Saturday’s severe weather outlook was upgraded to a rare HIGH RISK, level 5/5 across central Mississippi and west-central Alabama. A tornado outbreak now looks likely across the deep south, some long-track and potentially violent.
