Sunshine Monday, Severe Storms Possible Tuesday

Showers and storms return to our forecast Tuesday. Unfortunately, some of those storms may become strong to severe. Also, the severe risk increased west of I-65 in Alabama since Sunday’s initial severe weather outlook.

Sunshine Monday; A Few Strong/Severe Storms Tuesday

The sky remains a mix of sun and clouds Monday, with high temperatures in the low 80s. Rain and storms return Tuesday. While we could use some rain, unfortunately, a few storms may become strong to severe.

Sunshine With Some Clouds Sunday, Rain Next Week

Clouds increase somewhat Saturday night, with at least a partly cloudy sky overnight. Although, temperatures still fall into the 40s areawide. Sunshine may increase by Sunday afternoon, with highs near 80°.

Warmer, Still Dry This Weekend; Rain Returns Next Week

Temperatures fall from near 60° at 7PM to near 50° by 11PM. Overnight lows range from about 40-45° with a clear sky. With temperatures remaining warmer than the last couple nights, frost looks unlikely early Saturday morning. Afternoon temperatures trend warmer this weekend.

Freeze Watch Tuesday Night With Near-Record Lows

Some locations may remain mostly cloudy Monday afternoon, but temperatures still warm into the 70s area-wide. Winds turns northwest at 7 to 14 mph, which ushers in much colder air Monday night. Lows fall into the low 40s area-wide by sunrise Tuesday.

Fantastic Fall Friday And Weekend, Cool Next Week

Friday looks features fantastic fall weather for all of central and south Alabama. The sky was cloudless this morning, and likely remains that way for the rest of the day. Temperatures were in the upper 40s and low 50s early Friday morning, but afternoon temperatures warm to near 80°.
