Clouds increase Friday afternoon while temperatures remain noticeably cooler than Thursday. Highs range from the upper 50s to low 60s, with a northwest breeze of 5 to 10 mph.
Thursday afternoon remains mainly sunny, warm, and breezy. High temperatures range from the low to mid 70s. Meanwhile, winds remain out of the west at 10 to 15 mph with gusts over 20 mph at times.
Clouds increase MLK Day. However, the chance for rain remains low, with only stray, brief, and light showers possible. Despite more cloud-cover, temperatures trend warmer with highs in the low to mid 60s.
Despite colder morning temperatures than Saturday, Sunday afternoon looks milder than Saturday with highs in the upper 50s. The sky remains mainly sunny.

Another round of storms, some severe, move through central and south Alabama Thursday. The storm prediction center places a slight (level 2/5) severe risk across all of our viewing area of central and south Alabama.
Rain tapers off with at least a partially clearing sky Sunday night. Temperatures fall into the low 40s. Sunshine returns Monday, especially during the morning.
Sunday’s forecast looks much different. Clouds increase Saturday night. Rain falls from a mainly cloudy sky at times Sunday. However, Sunday does not look like a washout. Rain amounts could be in the ballpark of one quarter inch.
Friday afternoon temperatures trend milder with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s. That’s near average too. With sunshine and dry, stable air, there’s no chance for rain or storms.
