Severe storms remain possible Friday night through early Saturday morning. However, the severe risk area and risk level from the storm prediction center has decreased since Thursday’s outlook.

Temperatures surge into the low and mid 80s Thursday afternoon and the sky remains mainly sunny. Thursday night remains mild with lows near 60°, while low clouds and fog likely develop again.
Spring Begins Cool, But Temperatures Warm This Week
Monday night turns cold again, but not quite as cold as Sunday night. Lows range from the low to mid 30s. A freeze warning begins after midnight for much of central and south Alabama.
Cold Sunday Night, Spring Begins Cool Monday
Sunday night could be even colder, with lows in the mid to upper 20s in most locations. A freeze warning begins Sunday evening for all of central and south Alabama, and continues through 10AM Monday.

Saturday night looks cold, with lows near or below the freezing mark of 32°. A freeze warning covers all of central and south Alabama Saturday night, and again Sunday night.
Strong To Severe Storms Possible Friday
The storm prediction center places a slight (level 2/5) severe risk area across far south/southeast Alabama. Further north to near highway 80/I-85, the storm prediction center places a marginal (level 1/5) severe risk. Straight-line winds up to 60 mph look like the main severe risk Friday afternoon. However, a couple brief tornadic circulations cannot be ruled out.
Strong To Severe Storms Possible Friday
Some storms could become strong to severe, capable primarily of straight-line wind gusts up to 60 mph. However, a couple brief tornadoes appear possible too. Friday’s severe weather window opens at 10AM and closes at 6PM.
Drier, Colder Sunday Night And Early This Week
The last of the rain and storms in far south Alabama depart Sunday night. Clouds at least partially clear, and colder air arrives. Temperatures fall into the mid and upper 40s by sunrise Monday.

Storms may approach our northwest communities by 3AM. Storms gradually work southeast during the day, potentially still strong to severe in far south Alabama through 8PM.
