Showers, Storms, Very Warm, And Humid

A case of the warm and muggies early Wednesday morning, with temperatures starting in the low 70s in many locations. There are also light to moderate showers in west Alabama, and it looks like that’s where the best chance for rain remains throughout the day.

Sunshine, Low Humidity, And Cooler This Holiday Weekend

The holiday weekend starts on a blazing hot note Friday afternoon with most locations topping out in the low 90s. Higher humidity fuels a narrow line of showers and storms this evening. As of the early evening, the storms turned down the heat in west Alabama, and they could do the same elsewhere as they continue east and eventually southeast.

Daytime Showers And Storms Round Out The Week

Thursday’s weather looks a bit different than the sunny, dry, and hot weather we’ve experienced lately. You might have noticed more humidity in the air as soon as you stepped out the door this morning. The humidity provides enough fuel for isolated showers and even storms this afternoon and early evening.

Hot And Dry Until Memorial Day Weekend

Just like our last several mornings, temperatures fell into the low 60s across much of our area. Temperatures weren’t there long, with midday temperatures surging into the mid and upper 80s. Many locations were in the low 90s Sunday afternoon, and looks like most locations reach the low 90s Monday afternoon.

A Hot And Dry Start To This Week

It was a mainly sunny and hot Sunday across central and south Alabama. Many locations reached the low 90s, with upper 80s otherwise. There wasn’t a drop of rain in our area today, with only some clouds at times to provide moments of shade. The dry weather pattern continues early this week while temperatures trend even hotter.

Mild Saturday Night But Hot Sunday Afternoon

Saturday was a warm day for central and south Alabama. A mix of sun and clouds filled the sky throughout the day. Although it seemed surefire that temperatures would peak in the upper 80s in most locations, highs were generally in the mid 80s outside of far south Alabama. Not necessarily a bad thing.
