By sunrise, the rain should be over for central and south Alabama. However, our concern shifts to the potential for locally dense fog Friday morning. A dense fog advisory continues until 9AM for counties and communities near and north of highway 80. Visibility could fall below one-quarter mile at times in the advisory area.
Rain remains scattered about our area throughout the day and evening. However, it won’t be raining everywhere at all times. Some locations may not see rain at all. For those that do, rain could be heavy for short periods of time.
Wednesday doesn’t look as sunny as recent days. Clouds may gradually increase during the day, potentially becoming mostly cloudy by the afternoon. There’s a chance for a stray shower or two, mainly in southwest Alabama.
It was another abnormally cool October morning. Lows ranged from the low to mid 40s. As soon as the sun rose, there wasn’t much other than clear blue sky in our area.
After a cold mid-October morning, temperatures trend warmer Monday afternoon. Highs range from the low to mid 70s. However, it won’t be as sunny as Sunday was. High clouds streaming west to east across Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama Monday could obscure the sun considerably at times. Thursday looks just like the first few days of this week. Expect a partly cloudy sky with high temperatures in the mid to upper 80s.
Another day of rain-free weather underway across central and south Alabama. Similar to previous days, Wednesday features a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the mid to upper 80s.
Tuesday features a partly cloudy sky with high temperatures in the mid 80s. A front was positioned near far northwest Alabama at midday Tuesday. Clouds were widespread in advance of the front. However, there wasn’t much rain along the front.
The dry weather pattern rolls on Monday. While not as sunny as the past weekend, Monday still features plenty of sun and blue sky among some fair-weather clouds. Temperatures remain warm for early October. Expect highs in the mid to upper 80s Monday afternoon.
After days of clouds and rain, lasting sunshine is back across central and south Alabama. While Friday morning was fog-filled near and east of Interstate 65, sunshine becomes plentiful for all Friday afternoon. Temperatures warm into the mid 80s with slightly less humidity.
