Greenville Residents Arrested, Charged in Meth Bust

Two Greenville residents have been arrested on drug charges. Sandra Taylor, 62, and William Robertson, 44, were arrested Thursday morning during a massive operation. The arrest is part of a year-long investigation. Investigators say Robertson had been receiving drugs through the mail. He allegedly had 2.2 ounces of meth and around $6,000 in his possession at the time of his arrest….

Gov. Bentley Authorizes Funds to Combat TB Outbreak

Gov. Robert Bentley has authorized emergency funding in the Alabama Department of Public Health’s continued effort to combat the Tuberculosis outbreak in Perry County. Coosa County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the shootings of two people. They say the shootings happened inside a home on County Road 93 in the Cottage Grove community on Wednesday. A Hurtsboro woman has died following a single-vehicle crash near Opelika, according to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency officials.
