Emergency Officials have been working around the clock to keep people safe. Sheriff’s deputies have been responding to plenty of weather related calls.
In Montgomery, city and county roads have now been re-opened, but public safety officials say the roads aren’t totally safe for travel.
In Prattville, roads are open, but officials are asking you stay home, unless there’s an emergency. Meanwhile, all roads remain closed in Elmore County.
Some drivers are regretting hitting the roads, as dozens of cars are getting stuck on patches of black ice and even emergency crews are having a tough time navigating the slippery roads.
The ice and snow storm that hit Alabama was wider and more severe than some officials expected.
