Thousands of people are stranded in Montgomery because of the winter storm.
A two-car crash in Perry County has killed a Birmingham woman.
Tuesday night, all roads in the City of Montgomery are closed except for emergency travel. Still, state troopers say they’ve seen drivers on the road all day, making unnecessary trips.
Alabama State Troopers have now released the names of the man and child killed in a wreck in Elmore Co. this morning.
The city of Montgomery has officially closed its roadways. City officials say 20-percent of the roads have been frozen over — even Governor Bentley urged everyone to stay home if it all possible.
It’s not just the roadways that were closed today. The Montgomery Regional Airport had all but one flight cancelled due to the winter weather.
