Jeremy McClain was introduced as Troy University’s new Director of Athletics by Chancellor Dr. Jack Hawkins, Jr., at a press conference Friday morning. McClain, has served as the Deputy Director of Athletics at Southern Miss for the past three years, succeeds John Hartwell, who was named Vice President and Director of Athletics at Utah State in July.

The University of Alabama football team’s second two-a-day practice of 2015 fall camp got underway on Thursday morning at 9:30 as the Crimson Tide put together a two-hour session in full pads on the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields. TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The first two-a-day practice of Alabama's 2015 fall camp got underway on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. as the Tide put together a two-hour session in full pads on the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields. The Crimson Tide's second practice of the day is set for a 7:30 p.m. start in shells.

Auburn's Defense Dominates 1st Scrimmage

The defense won Auburn's first scrimmage of the preseason Monday, and coach Gus Malzahn said it wasn't even close. "The defense completely dominated the scrimmage," Malzahn said of the 90-play practice in Jordan-Hare Stadium. Malzahn said it was the most dominant performance by a defense "since I've been a head coach." The offense didn't have a touchdown.

Hornets Practice for 1st time in Full Gear

The Alabama State University football program hit the field Monday in full pads for the first time in preseason camp. With the temperature again reaching triple digits on the field, the Hornets continue to show their passion and energy with their effort during the early days of camp.
