MONTGOMERY, AL — A pair of local college athletes will get their opportunity to make an NFL team.
Taylor Belsterling from Huntingdon college has agreed to attend the New York Giants rookie mini-camp. He will attempt to make it to the full training camp as a wide reciever.
Belsterling has not played football since 2013 because the NCAA ruled him ineligible his senior season. The ruling came because of an academic year he had at Southern Union in Opelika, AL.

After a year away from football, former Tuskegee University football player Rashard Burkette has earned an invitation the Minnesota Vikings rookie mini-camp.
In 2013, Burkette played quarterback for the golden tigers and led them division two playoffs for the first time in the school’s history. He is expected to compete as a wide receiver or defensive back during camp.
