Sunshine Returns But Turning Colder!
WEEKEND WEATHER: Finally, we are looking at plenty of sunshine to take over our skies. This will give us a chance to start drying things out around here. High pressure will be the dominate weather feature and that will lead to clear skies and colder temperatures. Highs both Saturday and Sunday will be in the lower to mid 50s. The real chill comes from overnight lows that will range from 29-35 degree range depending on your location.
FIRST WEEK OF JANUARY: The clear skies and colder air will be sticking around through midweek. High pressure remains firmly in control of our weather so we stay dry. Throughout the week, temperatures will slowly begin to moderate, with mid-50s early in the week and then upper 50s and lower 60s by the end of the week.
OUR NEXT RAIN CHANCE?: The area of high pressure will have slid off to our east by late in the week. An area of low pressure develops over the Southern Plains and should lift northeast towards the Great Lake. That will allow moisture to stream north and likely increase our rain chance late in the week, especially towards Thursday and Friday. This doesn’t look like a severe weather event, but there certainly is the chance of rain for the second weekend of 2016. Of course this system is still a week away, so lets just enjoy the drier weather until then.
